We try to choose ministries that will touch as many people as possible and serve God best.
For greater effectiveness, we network with other organizations: religious congregations, parishes, NGOs, government and civic commission - for the benefit of the people we are called to serve.
Loreto has always worked to help society in numerous ways.
We follow Mary Ward’s call to use whatever is suited to the times to work for the greater good of the people we serve.
The guiding principles of our ministries suggest certain ideals. to enhance the freedom of people, retain human dignity, practice collaboration and partnership, value the presence and contribution of women, share wisdom, contribute to the reform of society to achieve justice.
In recent years, successive leadership teams have been conscious of the needs of rural India, and have encouraged sisters to find openings for work, social welfare and spiritual direction in rural areas.
