ACADEMICS

The school prepares students to take the ICSE examination in Class X so the syllabus of this Board is followed. Arts and Science streams are offered. In addition to the two term tests, two sets of unit tests are given for better evaluation

In the Primary School  we follow activity based methods and there are promotion exams upto Class 4.

 At all levels students are encouraged to work on projects in different subjects to become independent learners, to be creative and  to develop their ability to think for themselves.

CO-CURRICULAR, EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Special assemblies and activities are a regular feature of the school for May Day Lady,Tagore Day, Independence day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s day. The children look forward to Santa’s visit and the Christmas play and the annual fete. There are class picnics and excursions. The YCS, LTS, help to develop leadership qualities, organizational skills and self expression. The JPIC clubs and Tarumitra camp create environmental awareness. Inter-House competitions for elocution, debate quizzes, flower arrangement, art  are also held. There are annual dramatic and sports events. Pupils are encouraged to take part in athletics and  basket ball is popular. Our students have represented the district  in the basketball team
